Construction at the Baxter St Apartments began in February this year, with the installation of a tower crane marking the beginning of the luxury development. Located in Fortitude Valley, the building is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

According to, Fortitude Valley was the most tightly held suburb in Queensland last year, with only .63 per cent of houses in the suburb listed for sale. Buyer demand has resulted in a rush to already secure 80 per cent of the 56 apartments at Baxter St.

Forrester Properties Director Tom Forrester says the exclusivity of the offering has created a sense of urgency for purchases.

“Unlike many other new developments in the area, Baxter St Apartments is a boutique community with just 56 units spread across 10 levels. There are a limited number of apartments remaining.”

The Baxter St Apartments are located minutes from the new King Street precinct, which is nearing project completion. It is expected to add to the growing list of hot spots in Fortitude Valley, with a new cafe and wine bar, deli and convenience store and private dining room on its ground floor. Baxter St Apartments Development Manager Scott Forrester says, the development is taking shape at a time when purchasers are increasingly aware of the importance of choosing a property in the right location.

“We believe it is one of the most liveable suburbs in Brisbane offering a premium lifestyle in a convenient and highly accessible location,” he says.

The remaining apartments are a mix of two bedroom apartments with one or two bathrooms, offering up to 88sqm of living space. The 320sqm rooftop terrace will offer a number of entertainment amenities, such as a rooftop pool, community herb garden, outdoor lounge, sun deck, BBQ and entertaining area and bike storage for each apartment.
