Asia Pacific Architecture Festival

March 13, 2021 @ 8:00 am - March 26, 2021 @ 5:00 pm

The Asia Pacific Architecture Festival (APAF) is being staged in Brisbane from 13 to 26 March 2021 as a hybrid festival – with both in-person and online events. The theme – “How new is now?” – encourages participants to consider if there is any such thing as a new idea. It will explore how architecture and design must be applied in groundbreaking ways to benefit all Queenslanders in response to health, economic and environmental crises. There are some great events open to all Brisbanites on as part of the Festival, including: a behind the scenes tour of the Queensland State Archives – connecting Queenslanders with their past, a hands-on terrazzo-making course led by Five Mile Radius, Tapestry Design Prize for Architects launch, On Fire: Climate and Crisis exhibition at the Institute of Modern Art, and more.
